August 2002 Tournament

Through the efforts of Cesar Ansaldo of Augusta, our August tournament was a success. It was held at Hard Labor Creek. 32 golfers participated, among them was William Rebagay who I think was only 10 years old. Dave Caballes extended his winning streak to 4. I honestly think he was just lucky to have been paired with good players. This was the tournament were Cas Garcia proved that he was for real. Jojo Escobar finally got a trophy. Looks like another Rebagay will be a big factor in our future tournaments. Guilly Jr. won his first trophy. Newcomer Ramon Llaga took home 2 trophies. I heard his wife didn't believed he was playing golf, so she came along and rode the whole 18 holes with him. [Johnny Pellicer]
