The Annual Atlanta vs. Augusta Showdown held last Sunday, August 28, 2005 at the Monticello Golf Course in McCormick, South Carolina saw Augusta repeating over their Atlanta counterparts. The Augusta team had a total team net score of 1316.6 while Atlanta had 1334.1, representing a difference of 17.5 strokes. Notable achievers for Augusta were Jessie Villanueva and Jun Dayao who registered net scores of 64 and 67 respectively. So, Augusta gets to keep the title for another year. In addition to the showdown, individual awards were given.

The handicaps of those who played will be updated before the next tournament. The ESC or Equitable Stroke Control will not be applied this time, since the individual scores were not recorded, and the tournament had DOUBLE PAR as the maximum score per hole, anyway. We hope to have the latest handicap list posted on our website (www.philippinegolfga.org) as soon as possible.

We hope to see y'all at our next monthly tournament - tentatively scheduled for September 24, 2005. A separate announcement will be sent out for this tournament, the venue for which is still undetermined.
