PGAG September 2005 Monthly Tournament

The PGAG September 2005 Monthly Tournament was held last Sunday, September 25, 2005 at the Country Club of Gwinnett with a total of 27 participants. We actually had 28 participants signed up, but Ramon Llaga became indisposed and wasn't able to show up.

Below is a list of the winners with the respective awards:

  • Class A - Al Tiangco (74)
  • Class B - Dave Caballes (85)
  • Class C - Jason Luengo (105)
• Low Net
  • 1st Place - Mike Delfin (66)
  • 2nd Place - Cas Garcia (67)
  • 3rd Place - Al Ray Gesite (68)
• Closest to the Pin
  • Hole # 3 - Bob Peterman
  • Hole # 11 - Bob Peterman
    

For the Low Net awards, Al Tiangco actually got a net of 65, but since he had already won the Low Gross for Class A, he couldn't be awarded the Low Net 1st Place. Dave Caballes and Jason Luengo also had net scores of 66, but since they already won the Low Gross for Classes B and C, respectively, they were also disqualified from figuring in the race for the Low Net 1st Place.

Awards were given during the post-tournament dinner held at the Egg Roll Restaurant along Centerville Highway (SR-124) at the corner of Bethany Church Rd.

The handicaps of those who played will be updated before the next tournament. As announced previously, the ESC or Equitable Stroke Control will be used going forward. Please note that the ESC will be used only in posting or reporting the scores of players in updating the handicaps, not in determining the winners in the tournament. We hope to have the latest handicap list posted on our website ( www.philippinegolfga.org ) as soon as possible.

We hope to see y'all at our next tournament. Tentatively, the plan is to hold the Club Championship a month earlier - in October - to accommodate a request to hold a year-ending "FUN" Tournament. We will post announcements as plans are firmed up.
